What’s for dinner? | August 28, 2009

There are so many options when it comes to what you can choose to eat in the city. Essentially, whatever you crave you can find. I think it is necessary to inform all San Franciscans as well as tourists and visitors about one place in particular: Farmer Brown.

I just happened to be strolling down Market before work one Sunday and caught it out of the corner of my eye. The outside of this place is a bit misleading…yes, it is on the edge of the Tenderloin. However, once you walk inside, it is a relaxed, ultra cool environment. From the live jazz that was playing to the oversized photos hung around the restaurant, Farmer Brown was the perfect place to grab brunch and soak in life.media_restaurant

This fine establishment offers a wide variety of soul food dishes including jambalaya, a pulled pork sandwich that will bring tears, fried chicken, catfish and so many others. Their specialty drinks are amazing as well (which I did not have before work…I came back after).menu_porkThis surprising little restaurant is located just off of Market on Turk. Their hours are a bit on the frustrating side (only open for breakfast on the weekends from 10am-2pm, open at 5pm all week), however, well worth the wait.

To visit their site or make reservations, you can visit their site at http://www.farmerbrownsf.com.
